Our Stephen Ministry provides care to SGBC congregation members and others in the community who are struggling through a life crisis.

About Stephen Ministry

A range of opportunities are available for anyone wishing to participate in the ministry including;

  • becoming a Stephen Minister by completing 50 hours of training
  • becoming a Steven Leader by attending a one week Leader’s Training Course that introduces the resources and develops the key skills used to lead Stephen Ministry
  • Journeying through Grief training provides simple, powerful way to care for people who are grieving
Stephen Ministers meet twice a month to receive guidance, support, and continuing education to enhance their skills.
